Try setting your table in a Japanese style. You don't have to use Japanese tableware exclusively. One or two Japanese ceramic pieces will help create the right atmosphere for enjoying SAKE. Here are some hints.

	Use low tables, one for each individual where possible.
	On the table, place small bamboo mats, handmade Japanese paper, or lacquer trays.

	In place of napkins, use Japanese traditional cotton hand towels. They are usually decorated with blue patterns.
	Choose items to match the season

New Year's	---	Gold threads on a black, red, or green background create a bright and formal atmosphere.
spring	---	Set the table all in light pink, as cherry blossoms are the symbol of spring in Japan.
summer	---	Images of splashing water give a cool feeling, and greenery in a bowl of water fits perfectly.
autumn	---	Yellow and red leaves will add to the atmosphere.
winter	---	Try sitting on the floor on cushions covered with Japanese patterned fabric.
